Ferdi is an accomplished advisor, investor and entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience working with founder- and owner-operated SMEs.

He spent 13 years at Macquarie Group (Australia’s leading investment bank), holding senior roles (including Division Director) in the Specialist Investments division of the Asset Management team.

In 2017, Ferdi also held a director level role at Seidler Equity Partners, a leading private equity firm based in the US. There he partnered with Australian and New Zealand company owners and management teams to help them achieve their strategic vision and expand their businesses.

He has also successfully managed and exited two family-owned businesses in the consumer services sector and held finance and engineering roles at Ford Motor Company.

Ferdi has been working with BG Private clients since 2005 and was appointed Partner in 2019. He runs the firm’s Corporate Advisory and Private Equity divisions (branded under Corner Capital) where he and his teams advise SMEs with a turnover of $5-200 million on their growth and exit strategies. At Corner Capital, he also chairs the Investment Committee.

Ferdi serves on the Board of Directors of numerous companies and brings experience in evaluating and implementing organic expansion and acquisition-driven growth initiatives. These Advisory Board roles are held at Britex Group, Juremont and Chriropedic, among others.

Ferdi sits on BG Private’s Advisory Board, and he is one of the Partners responsible for BG Private’s corporate strategy working to ensure the firm stays ahead of current trends and the environment affecting our clients.

Outside of the office, Ferdi has two young children who keep him busy. He lives in bayside Melbourne and his passion is all sports.

Experiences of note

  • At Macquarie, Ferdi and his team was responsible for managing more than $1.2 billion in investments across various listed and non-listed asset classes.
  • At Seidler, Ferdi was instrumental in raising over $150 million from institutional investors in the Australian market.
  • He and his team are also currently working with various industry-leading SMEs on their strategic initiatives (including M&As). Clients include Sitro Group Australia, Aber Living New Zealand, Matthews Intelligent Identification Australasia, and Titanium Caravans.
