Greg Marino founded BG Private in 1978. From the beginning his aim was simple: to help clients make, save and invest their hard-earned funds. The development of BG Private into a multi-dimensional business has now made this achievable for all clients.

His belief in innovation and exceptional client service established BG Private as a respected industry leader. For many years we have consistently been one of the AFR Top 100 Accounting Firms nationally.

Greg Marino’s areas of expertise have encompassed audit, tax and business advisory, and he has 45+ years of experience in serving both local and overseas clients.

Greg’s ethos of making BG Private a client focused, forward thinking firm that partners with clients for the long term continues to bleed through every aspect of what we do to this day.

For many years he served as the Australasian representative on the board of the international accounting group, Integra International, and he has also been on the board of several sporting clubs and NFPs.

Greg Marino was made a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, an award which recognises people who have made a significant contribution to the accounting profession through services to their community, participation in professional bodies, and dedication to research or writing within the accounting field.

Greg has now retired as a Partner of BG Private but remains a trusted advisor and closely linked to the practice. Read more about the history of BG Private.

Having been the Commodore of the Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron, he now spends about two days a week sailing his yacht on the Port Phillip Bay and cherishes the social interaction with other RMYS members. He continues to be active in his various business ventures and investments.
