Single Touch Payroll – Software status summary

With the recent implementation of Single Touch Payroll (STP), not all software providers were ready for the 1 July 2018 roll out for businesses with more than 20 employees.

Here is a summary of the most commonly used software and where they currently stand in regards to STP-enabled status:

XERO • With Xero Payroll Deferral in place to 31 December 2018
MYOB • Account Right Live
• MYOB Essentials
Ready to go by 1 July 2018
MYOB • AccountEdge
• AccountRight Classic (those unable to move to online version – using multi-currency, negative inventory, M-Powered payment, ODBC)
Deferral in place to 31 May 2019
QBO • QBO payroll powered by Keypay Ready to go by 1 July 2018
RECKON • ReckonOne
• Accounts Hosted
• Reckon Accounts (2018 version onwards)
• Payroll Premier (2018/19 version onwards)
Ready to go by 1 July 2018(Done through GovConnect STP)

If you were required to be STP ready by 1 July 2018 but have not set this up, please contact one of our consultants*.

* Employers which have more than 20 employees should have been STP compliant on 1 July 2018 unless a deferral has been put in place.
